Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging administers 12 Senior Centers in Southeast Nebraska, with an additional 2 Contractual Senior Centers within the area. Each noon meal is prepared to meet 1/3 of the daily recommended dietary needs of older adults. A suggested contribution of $6 per meal for individuals over 60 is solicited to help defray the cost of the meal. Individuals under 60 are required to pay $9 per meal. To arrange for Nutrition Services, please call the Senior Center manager at the desired location. One-day advance notification is required. The Blue Rivers Transportation System offers a local service to and from the local senior center meal site for $2.00 round trip. This service operates in Auburn, Beatrice, Fairbury, Hebron and Syracuse.
