On March 8, 2017, Lieutenant Governor Mike Foley signed a proclamation declaring the second week of April, the 9th through the 15th, as Nebraska Public Transit Week. On hand to view the signing of the proclamation were Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers (NATP) members and representatives from the Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR).
The Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging Administration Offices, ADRC Nebraksa, and Blue Rivers Public Transportation are moving to our new location, 103 Eastside Blvd., Beatrice, NE. Our offices and services in Beatrice will be closed Friday, February 24th, 2017 to begin the moving process and will re-open at our new location Monday, February 27th, 2017 at 8:00 a.m.
Blue Rivers AAA now has two instructors for Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance. CHOICES Supervisor Kathy Erickson (right) and Executive Director Zoe Olson (left) received their certificates from Course Instructor Trainer Holly Warth (center) on February 24. Celebrate National Heart Month at the Hebron Senior Center
February is National Heart Month and the Hebron Senior Center, 425 Lincoln Avenue, Hebron, Nebraska will be celebrating with an Open House on Friday, February 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The public is invited to visit the Center, learn about the new Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that was recently placed in the Center through a partnership between Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging and Public Health Solutions, and receive information on heart health. Light refreshments will be available and interested individuals can make a lunch reservation by calling 402-768-6052 by noon, Thursday, February 25.
