Heart Month 2016

Forty-eight participants at the Fairbury Senior Center learned about CPR and the operation of an AED for instances of immediate cardiac arrest on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Kate Lange, Saving Rural Hearts Coordinator for Public Health Solutions demonstrated proper technique in performing CPR and how to use the recently installed AED, placed at the center through a partnership of Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging and Public Health Solutions.

Participants and center staff were able to practice CPR and using the AED. Information on heart health, medication boxes and light refreshments were available.
